About Nyomi

Nyomi is an emerging Hip Hop artist born in Georgia. She was raised by her single mother with her three other brothers. Nyomi began writing music in 2015 but did not pursue her talents until 2018 when she wrote a song and presented it to her younger brother titled “Hostage” with confirmation that she had talent as a rapper. 

While attending Georgia State University in Atlanta, Georgia, her passion for music grew even more when she took Music Entrepreneurship 101. Her professor at the time saw her eagerness for music and encouraged her to join Panther Entertainment Group, a university-affiliated group geared toward students interested in the music industry. Nyomi performed her single “My Time” for the first time in front of her peers and was amazed at how impressed they were.  

It was not until February 2021 that a mutual friend introduced her to a rising local Atlanta music producer who goes by the name of Grind. The two quickly hit it off and she began growing her career in Atlanta, Georgia, and surrounding states. And since performed at other places such as Rolling Loud California, London, ATL Exposure Open Mic in Atlanta, Who Da Baddest Performance Battle Club Rush in Fayetteville, Arkansas, and 8th Annual Hip Hop Awards Memphis, Tennessee.
